With extensive experience handling construction related claims, Steven Cohen has the knowledge and dedication to provide comprehensive legal assistance to clients throughout New York and New Jersey. Mr. Cohen leverages an in depth knowledge of construction law, design professional representation, material supplier representation and commercial litigation to provide efficient and favorable resolutions to each client’s unique needs.
Active with several associations, including the New Jersey Bar Association, where he chaired the Construction Law Section, Mr. Cohen is regarded as one of the foremost authorities in his areas of practice. He has been called upon by New Jersey’s Law Revision Commission to provide comments and insight into proposed laws, including the Construction Lien Law revisions. Mr. Cohen is also annually chosen to present the Construction Lien Law Update, presented by the New Jersey Bar Association. In several widely circulated periodicals, Mr. Cohen has authored articles regarding developments in construction law.
In addition to being an advocate on behalf of his clients, Mr. Cohen is also a mediator and an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court to mediate disputes.
